I Must Confess
How I long for a love that understands,
A love who knows me; Deeply and intentionally.
Memorizing the canals of my body and mind, canoeing down my streams,
In search of the gate to my endless sea.
I’d become a current in his winding rivers just the same,
Where are you my love? My twin flame?
Someone I can hold onto, someone to claim.
A man who is not scared to dance with me in the warmth of spring rain;
Strong like the bull in my constellations map,
Soft like the humming songs of fall winds, I breathe deeply in.
Stuck to me like the thickening of pines bittersweet sap,
Entangled within each others arms and legs, my head on his lap.
Someone who asks on a Sundays eve, “Come lay in bed with me?”
I want my depth to be challenged and anchored far away from shore,
I want a love that has me gasping for air, and always knows when to give more.
Someone I can explore; Till I know each grain of sand on his oceans floor,
Each fiery star in his galaxy and every note in the songs he receives from above;
A love that only wants me – my souls core and does not ask for anything less,
This is the tantalizing love I dream of, I must confess.
