Gliding

For far too long, I was in my cocoon hiding;

Anxious for my wings to grow strong enough to brace the winds,

Her howling gusts made me feel paper thin.

But, I let myself fall into her embrace,

Becoming a part of her sweet spring song.

And was carried farther than my wings could ever take me,

As I trusted my body and glided along.
