Sacred Love

I feel as if I am more soul, than body most days.

Exposing myself to this harsh world, hoping it will be kind in return;

My bleeding heart stays atop my sleeve, and makes its way to my finger tips –

Touching everything I touch, feeling everything I feel, knowing more than I know.

With no intention to protect my roses, I sacrifice my soul to the world that takes too much.

And for what? A little love can shine light on the darkest paths,

Nurturing sacred seedlings waiting for just a moment of hope.

So I’ll give her up again and again, leading the world in love.
