Walls
Everything still hurts when I say your name.
Though, this pain is not the same —
and neither am I.
You;
May have changed, and I don’t care to see.
But maybe you’ve accepted the blame — was not all on me.
Who really could take credit for such a tragedy?
As young as it is, I have aged since then;
Proven to myself time and time again,
It is better to leave early than watch walls cave from within.
Though the damage is done;
And debris of a crumbled home lines my skin.
I know these new walls of mine — cannot stop me from beginning again.
