Sift
To be unaware of how one feels is the most dangerous act of passivity,
Becoming easily lost in the unknown and the unclear.
Being swayed right and left, not trusting what would be best
For oneself, and not the other.
Gripe with every restless thought and leap into anything it could destroy,
Keeping in mind what you seek is not fear or bitterness, but wholesome joy.
Be aware of where you are and who you could become,
Do not hide your sins but shine brightly onto them, and forgive those who’ve made you bleed
And yourself for watching them. This will keep your clouded thoughts at ease.
Sift through the darkness, thick and thin
Do just that and your life will begin.
