Kissing The Wind

Cold stones scrape the sky, and my tired eyes fill to the brim;

All I want now, is you by my side and it feels like a sin.

Craving your touch after all this time,

It’s best I know, to hide from these fever dreams of mine.

But the love that’s poured out over the lake we call home,

Cannot outweigh the ocean, of my new found sorrows.

If I kiss the wind, will you feel my warmth on your rosy cheeks?

Will you feel my tear streams as cumulus clouds begin to leak?

When I whisper to the breeze, will she carry my secrets right to you?

Or will you be waiting for a love you can hold onto;

Are you waiting for someone new?
