Just me
You finally called my name,
And I came running; As you knew I would.
Knowing how easy I’d come for you, and I knew the same,
And before you knew it, there I stood.
Only to push me out again so quickly, after you got me in your bed;
I wish I could forget what you said — it felt as if you’d wanted me dead.
Why else would you pull me in? Only to watch me bleed.
As you tell me again to go, and so easily watch me leave.
For a moment, you’d made me believe
You wanted me.
Just me and not my body.
