Home Alone

I look at him with sad eyes most days,

Though I’ve said all that I can say.

As golden hearts fade to grey,

Maybe this is when we walk away?

To find the love we crave, to call our own;

A love in which I can make a home.

Can I be that brave?

To begin the search once more,

In hopes to find the one my soul yearns for –

Though I know,

I left her behind long ago.

Within my chest, I will find her again

Sitting amiably and alone.
