Daffodils
My lover calls; Yearning for him, I go
Undetected – Where has he gone?
I miss you more, voices from down the hall.
Forbidden love has crept into these walls.
White clouds; to pouring rain.
My hue blackened, and you are to blame.
All your color for another;
Thieves welcomed as guests
Who is this plight?
What is her name?
What else do you call her;
When we aren't around each other?
Blasé, you watch me bleed;
Flowers I grew,
Never pretty enough for you.
A secret garden, only you held a key to.
Though a weed, you catered;
Withered roses, birth red dahlias.
How beautiful she is;
Your – summer sky.
My flowers were your favorite,
Jasmine, I remember.
Wildflowers, blossom in June
and, blossom I will.
Underneath her; pale blue.
Your hands no longer abiding in mine,
Lambs graze in lily fields; I grow best,
Where loyalty binds love and adorations last.
I still miss the feeling of your chest.
It is a shame; the sheep in wolves clothing
Made you, her prey.
Underneath trees, is where I will stay.
The garden locked, I swallowed the key;
Daffodils spring from my ears,
I never heard you call.
