Thunder

When I was a girl, I would hide from the thunderstorms passing by,

Scared I’d lose something if I, dared to look into the storms eye.

Now I dance in her winds, hoping to catch just a drop of what she is.

The more I learned, the more I knew;

To stare deeply in places I’d never understood,

Gave me the strength and wisdom,

Hiding never could.
