Closer

I lived amongst the shadows so long,

I could not recognize your light.

As you reached for me,

healing wounds with a whisper,

though still I hid out of sight.

“Come closer”, you said to my fragile bones,

suddenly I was no longer alone.

You swept me into the seas of your embrace,

and we danced.
